Latest work.

I got to know my new buddy Dave, from a DeMeng FB group and we decided to do a swap. I made him an altered Creepy Doll book and he made me this GORGEOUS altered paint brush! Dave, has more talent that he gives himself credit for. Here is BORED RALPHIE!!  Dave made the eyes himself and sells his beads:

This is the Greenman that I made last week and I haven't made anymore plaster pieces, lately.  I am running out of space!

This YULE /MIDWINTER plaque went into the store: You can buy it HERE

I bought myself a set of Pan Pastels a while ago and got a chance to use them yesterday. I had sketched my portrait and used the pastels with the little applicator provided.  I REALLY don't like them for this kind of work. I am not saying that they are not good and I probably need practice but I much prefer using traditional, soft pastel sticks for the way that I work i.e using my finger to blend and control where I want the colour to go. I don't like the way that these blend as they give a soft effect as with a pastel stick you can achieve hard edged lines and control the strokes.

I tried to dip my finger in the coloured pastel pan and I didn't seem to get much on my finger. I accidently dropped a tub up side down on my white flannel sheets ( I was working in bed) and the colour is difficult to remove! The pigmentation is good but don't work in bed ;)
Anyhoo, I painted over the pastels and this is was I am working on. It's not finished but I'll do that much later. My painting is a little rusty as is my blogging!

I've put my plaster works in my store. I don't have room to keep them all and to be honest, the extra cash allows me to buy more materials plus just about covers the costs of online classes . I'd just like to thank my Facebook and NON Facebook friends for supporting me  ♥ I hope to return the favour.
